Court Order [a threat backed by violence] Temporarily Interferes with "Rights" to Share Info & Bear Arms by Distributing 3D Gun Blueprints [if CrimethInc. can’t be in Control then no else can]

From [HERE] A federal judge in Seattle issued a temporary restraining order [order, PDF] Tuesday blocking an anarchist from releasing downloadable blueprints for plastic 3D-printed firearms.

Judge Robert Lasnik of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington [official website] issued the ruling a day after the Washington Attorney General, along with several other states, filed a lawsuit [complaint, PDF] challenging the Trump administration’s recent settlement decision to allow the public posting of such blueprints on August 1, 2018, by Defense Distributed [advocacy website], a non-profit organization run by Cody Wilson, a techno-anarchist who develops and publishes open source gun designs, so-called "wiki weapons", suitable for 3D printing and the Second Amendment Foundation

Wilson and his team of lawyers focused their legal argument on a free speech claim: They pointed out that by forbidding Wilson from posting his 3-D-printable data, the State Department was not only violating his right to bear arms but his right to freely share information. By blurring the line between a gun and a digital file, Wilson had also successfully blurred the lines between the Second Amendment and the First. Lasnik granted a temporary restraining order stating that the posting of these blueprints would provide broad unregulated access to dangerous weapons and create “a possibility of irreparable harm because of the way these guns can be made.”

This decision follows a similar injunction [JURIST report] granted by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania [official website] after the Pennsylvania Attorney General filed a similar claim [complaint, PDF] in federal court. The matter is sure to work its way through the federal appeals process in the coming months.

Seeking to stir up hysteria and fear liberal statists went into a neurotic meltdown. As a last resort they blamed President Trash - who has nothing to do with this case. The Government settled because they were going to lose at trial.

Senator Edward J. Markey, Democrat of Massachusetts, said: “Donald Trump will be totally responsible for every downloadable plastic AR-15 that will be roaming the streets of our country if he does not act today, because beginning tonight at 12:01 a.m., bad people can go on Instagram and get an insta-gun.”

Mr. Blumenthal and Mr. Markey were among a group of Democrats who announced they were introducing two separate bills related to 3-D guns: one that would bar the manufacture and sale of any untraceable weapon, and another that would prohibit the online publication of blueprints for the plastic guns.
