Southeast Missouri drops Indians nickname
After more than 80 years, the Indians nickname is out at Southeast Missouri State University. Years of debate over the use of the nickname and mascot ended Wednesday when the university board of regents voted unanimously to drop both the Indians nickname and mascot for the men's teams and the Otahkians nickname for the women.
