Arizona - Reepublican HATERS Initiative on illegal entrants stirs heat

Immigration officially moved to the top of Arizona's election year agenda Thursday when more than 190,000 signatures were filed with the Secretary of State's Office by backers of a ballot initiative requiring voters and applicants for public services to show proof of citizenship. Opponents of the Protect Arizona Now initiative immediately launched a two-pronged campaign against the measure: challenge the validity of the signatures and, failing that, work toward its defeat in November.
