Md. police investigate 'cross burning'
A $2,500 reward was being offered in an investigation into the burning of a cross into the lawn of a black school official, police said Friday. A chemical was used to burn a cross-shaped symbol in the grass on the front yard of the Ellicott City home of Kimberly Statham, police said. [more]
