Poll: Most Minorities Unhappy With U.S. Past 4 Years
More than a third more black than white Americans are dissatisfied with the way things are going in the United States, a poll released Monday indicates. A Gallup poll found that the vast majority of black respondents -- 83 percent -- reported they were unhappy with the way things are going, vs. 53 percent of non-Hispanic whites. Hispanics also were more likely to say they were dissatisfied, with 60 percent of respondents saying so. The survey found a steady increase in dissatisfaction among black and Hispanic respondents over the past four years, with a jump of 14 percent among Hispanic respondents since 2001. [more]
