Freak Controversial Judge Makes Deal, Chooses Censure
A controversial Wake County judge made a deal to lessen her own punishment. Superior Court Judge Evelyn Hill agreed to take a censure from the state Judicial Standards Comission. In exhange, the commission will drop three other complaints against Hill. Some of those include pretending to grab a Franklin County deputy's crotch and berating a female lawyer. [ more

In February 2004, Hill used the word "nigger" in court [more ] and last year Judge Hill called an attorney a "token Black". [more ].
