Cops probe attack at biracial family's Charlestown home
/A brutal hate crime against a biracial Charlestown family has whites and blacks at odds again.
Police spokesman officer Michael McCarthy said that shortly after 11 p.m. June 5, Armstrong, a white townie whose children have a black father, claimed that nine white male teens, some wearing Celtics jerseys, began taunting her 16-year-old daughter and her friends with racial slurs. The threats escalated to landscaping bricks, beer cans and rocks being flung at the house, shattering windows and hitting Armstrong in the head.
