South Dakota Election - Voting problems reported on Indian reservations

Officials  in  at  least one South Dakota county were investigating complaints  that  voters  wereturned away from the polls in Tuesday's special  and   primary   election  whenthey could not produce photo  identification. Secretary of  State Chris  Nelson said his office fielded  such complaints-- primarily from  American Indian reservation  counties -- on  Tuesday and Wednesday. But he said he did not yet  have enough  information tooffer an  opinion  about whether serious  problems had  occurred.
