Use of Indian Masots - "Fightin' Whites" two years on

Two years after creating a firestorm of controversy, the "Fightin' Whites" are still around, set on using humor to bring attention to the use of Indian mascots. The intramural basketball team at the University of Northern Colorado has given $100,000 to the college for the Fightin' Whites Minority Endowment Scholarship Fund, but there are indications that the founders of the team may be changing tactics, a change attributed to frustration over the college and the use of mascots in general.  [more] and [their site]
