March Against Jacksonvile Police Brutality Planned for Super Bowl Sunday

The Jacksonville Leadership Coalition is filing papers to march against police brutality. If all goes to plan, the coalition intends to have the march on Super Bowl weekend. The city of Jacksonville has been doing all it can to put its best foot forward on Super Bowl week. However, all the primping could be for naught if the coalition does what it says it will do. The group has planned the march to protest the death of Sammy Evans while in police custody. This march would be much like the one held hours before the Gator Bowl game on Sunday, January 1st. The Coalition plans to hold a news conference about the Super Bowl march sometime in the near future. Leaders issued what appeared to be a threat to city leaders on Wednesday concerning the ongoing investigation of police brutality. "We're telling them, and we mean it. No justice, no peace," said Pastor R.L. Gundy of the Leadership Coalition. [more
